Our princess and her froggy chance...

Okay, so this is probably one of those things that is funnier to us than it will be to you, but whatever...

So, today Lucy was looking out the window and yelled, "Mom, there's something hoppin' out there." I looked out, and sure enough, it was a frog. Not a toad, as we usually see, but a slimy green frog. I ran downstairs and got Elise and we headed out back to find the frog. Soon, I found myself, Elise, Lucy, and Nathan outside, looking over this frog, and daring each other to touch him or pick him up.Here's what happened...oh, and the videos were taken with our old digital camera, so they're pretty sad.

Did you catch my favorite line? The part when Elise explains to me WHY she is afraid to pick him up? Because she's afraid she is going to kiss it! What?!?!

Here's our next much more successful attempt...

So, Elise screamed and I kinda picked it up (a videographer, Elise is not) and I definitely threw it. All in all, we were dying of laughter and I just love times like that. Elise missed her chance this time for a kiss, but we'll keep an eye on the backyard for another opportunity. = )

See the woman in this picture... August of 2008 she told me who my son was...and in October of 2008 she put him in my arms...

Chantal will forever be a part of our family and we all love her more than I could ever even begin to put into words...

Ndagukunda Chantal!

Well, as of yesterday, school is now in full swing here at the Dummermuths. The older girls started a couple of weeks ago, but with Lucy starting preschool yesterday, it now feels much more official.

Anyway, so here are a bunch of first day of school pictures!

Originally our bus stop was up the huge hill and around the corner, but we had it moved to our house. It's nice not to make the hike three times a day with the babies, but we do miss being with our sweet neighbors Claire and Keat.

And now finally it is Lu's turn! I'm so excited for her and I know she is loving every minute of it!!

And now it is just me and this little man on Monday and Wednesday mornings. We're planning on having some good times shopping, long walks (or possible even runs), and trips to the pumpkin patch when it opens. Oh, to be the only child! = )

8 YEARS...

See this man here? I LOVE this man. And 8 years ago today I walked down the aisle toward him and promised to be his wife. And let me tell you, I am a better woman because of that day. This man knows my soul, the good and the bad, and loves me deeply. And as the years go by and as we grow to know each other more, I fall deeper in love.

He's not perfect. Heck, he isn't even here this evening! But he is good, so good. And it is an honor to be his wife. I hope and pray that we have so many more years together, but even if we don't...well, today, I thank God for 8 wonderful years.

Bloggy Question

I'm a loyal blog follower. There are a handful that I check every single day and get totally annoyed when there aren't new posts. = ) Anyway, maybe sometime I tell you all about my favorites, but for today I am just copying the post of my friend, Lindsay. (Of course, she was copying someone else's too...)

Anywho, so the question posed was where do you blog? Well...

I have two computers and therefore blog in two different places. If I have pictures to post then I spend at least some of my time at my desk in my office...

But most of the word work is done on my lovely little laptop... my favorite little spot...

...on this lovely BIG couch. (Guess this is a bit of a preview to our house too!)

Oh, and here is my view as I'm typing all of this up! = )

Where do you blog?
