Here are a few more pictures from our trip to New York City!
We stayed with our friend Donna for a couple of nights and it was so great. Not only is she wonderful, but her place was wonderful...and the views! Here are a couple of pictures from the rooftop of her building...
The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
There was a HBO movie filming on Wall Street...didn't see anyone interesting, but it was fun watching a bit of the process. Here's a picture of all the extras freezing their tails off.
We were really excited to get in a little of the NYC Marathon. We saw the leader at about the 2hr. mark in Central Park, but didn't get a picture of it. This guy wasn't too far off though!
It's funny. Here we are on a kids-free vacation and we kept finding ourselves in places like FAO Schwartz, Dylan's candy, and ToysRUS on Times Square...what can I say, I love my kids!
Man, I would love to be the one who got to put a LEGO thing like this together!
So, I once again attempted to meet Matt Lauer and once again failed. He just doesn't hang around like the others and say hi to people...I'm trying to not let that taint my...affection (?) for him. = )
We were on the show a bunch of times though and it was fun when we got home to watch it on tv with the kids (I had DVRed it).
It was an incredible time...great food, great shows (In The Heights was AMAZING), and great visits with family and friends, but the best part of it was just getting to spend time together. I just can't help it...I love this guy.
