Letters from camp.

So, we sent our older girls off to camp last weekend.  Two weeks in Pennsylvania, at the camp that I went to as a kid.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I love it there and what an amazing thing it was to pass on those memories to Adele and Elise.

We had a great trip taking them out.  It's a bit of a hike from our home in Kansas to those beautiful hills in Quaker country, but leaving the three younger kids at home meant we got some great time with the two of them.

Anthony and I will pick them up again on Friday and I am DYING to know how it has been for them.  Cause I don't really have a clue how it is going, because, you see, apparently kids don't really write Mom all that much when they are off at summer camp.  I have heard from each of them only once so far and it is killing me!!  (And yes, I have already apologized to my mother for not writing more when I was the camper.)

Here's what they have written…

Uhhh…is she having fun?!  Totally made me cry.

Okay, so she sounds like she's having fun…but I still cried!

Oh, how I can't wait to see their faces on Friday and hear all of their stories.  What an adventure for these two amazing girls that are growing up just way too fast!

Man, this summer is just flying by!  I mean, the kids start school a month from tomorrow. How is that even possible?!

We have been so busy, but are having a really wonderful summer.  Here are a handful of pictures that show how things have been looking at the Dummermuths…

it isn't summer in our house if there isn't pie…banana cream, yummy
this moment made all the time at the ball fields so worth it
uhhh…5.5lbs of green beans from our garden?!
i guess that's helping
another perfect moment
i can't believe i sent these two to camp for two weeks!
and…well...this guy
At some point I'll come back and write something, but for now capturing life is like trying to get a picture of Matthias…it just all seems like a crazy blur!
